At Canterbury Environmental Solutions, we recognise that landfills are a necessary part of modern waste management. With waste continuing to accumulate, failing to create sustainable, well-managed facilities would have serious consequences for both our environment and our communities. That’s why we’re committed to being part of the change—providing solutions that address today’s challenges while planning for the future.
With our advanced facilities, innovative systems, and a hands-on approach, we aim to show that responsible waste management can go hand-in-hand with environmental care and community wellbeing.
We are committed to setting a higher standard for environmental responsibility. Through initiatives like wetlands restoration, carried out in partnership with Arowhenua Rūnanga, we’ve planted over 75,000 native plants to restore critical ecosystems. Projects like these improve biodiversity, support healthier waterways, and ensure land can be rejuvenated for future generations.
We’re not just focused on the environment, our commitment extends to the surrounding communities. From creating jobs and supporting local initiatives to ensuring open communication and transparency, we want to be a positive force for the region.
Together, we can tackle the challenges of waste in a way that preserves the environment we have today while building a better future for generations to come.
Our approach focuses on minimising the negative impact of waste management by developing innovative solutions that not only dispose of waste but also rehabilitate and restore land. Our projects include wetlands restoration and reforestation initiatives, that aim to improve biodiversity, safeguard waterways, and reduce environmental risks. We have a commitment to transparency, through systems like proof-of-placement, ensures accountability and helps prevent future legacy issues.

Update 2nd Feb 2026:
🌱 Aoraki Touch Team Supporting Aroha for Papatūānuku at Seaview Grange 🌿Canterbury Environmental Solutions – Community Planting Day
Saturday, 31 January On Saturday, Aoraki Touch Team and Lead by our Farm Manager Tom Stocker and Tyler Smith all came together with wairua kotahi | united spirit to give back to the whenua at Seaview Grange. With 16 adults and 9 tamariki, the team worked collectively to restore and enhance the natural landscape — a true expression of kaitiakitanga, our shared responsibility to care for the environment.
Together, we planted 350 native trees, each supported with:
🌿 Tree protectors
💧 Fertiliser
🧶 Wool mats for natural weed suppression
This mahi contributes to the revitalisation of native ecosystems, strengthening biodiversity and supporting the long‑term health of the whenua. It was especially inspiring to see our tamariki involved — learning the value of tiaki taiao | caring for the environment and connecting with Papatūānuku through hands‑on action.
A huge ngā mihi nui to everyone who showed up, got stuck in, and represented both their team and their community with pride. Your mahi demonstrates that our strength isn’t just on the field — it’s in the way we uplift our environment and each other.
He waka eke noa — we are all in this together.
Ka rawe team! 💚🌿

We are dedicated to revitalising natural habitats, safeguarding waterways, and promoting the regeneration of native species for future generations.
In partnership with Arowhenua Rūnanga, we're planting over 70,000 native plants to restore our nearby wetland, enhancing biodiversity and potentially creating a vital habitat for the endangered long-tailed bat, located just 3km from our site.
